This basic course does not oblige with the HAZWOPER standard (29CFR1910.120(q)(6)(i).

  • Explain the basic terminology that pertains to Hazardous materials and the environmental effects of their usage.

  • Bring to the knowledge how local communities can act in case of a hazardous material outbreak or contamination for increasing the readiness in people for such crisis management.

There are five units covered in FEMA IS 5a as of now:
